Why BX Fonts Changed the Game for Embroiderers
Sarah Jenkins 2025-10-20
The Old Way vs. The BX Way
In the past, buying an embroidery font meant getting 52 separate files (A.pes, B.pes, a.pes...). To write a name, you had to import each file one by one and align them manually. It was a nightmare.
Enter the BX Format
Developed by Embrilliance, the BX format installs the font directly into the software. This allows you to:
- Type names using your keyboard.
- Automatically handle kerning (spacing between letters).
- Resize the text with stitch recalculation (within limits).
If you are buying fonts on Etsy, always look for the "BX" label. It will save you hours of layout time.
